Mein Kunde beschrieb den Fehler wie folgt: Er funktioniert, und man kann darauf Spielen, aber nach ca. einer halben Stunde verabschiedet sich das Instrument. Man kann ihn dann wieder einschalten, jedoch ist dann irgendwann das Display wieder tot.

My customer described the error as follows: It works and you can play on it, but after about half an hour the instrument says goodbye. You can then turn it on again, but at some point the display will be dead again.

Das klang ganz nach sich verabschiedenen Elkos. Ich ging also hin und ersetzte alle Elkos, besonders zwei, die für das Betreiben des Displays verantwortlich waren (die beiden hellblauen). Außerdem erneuerte ich die Lötstellen und siehe da, er funktionierte wieder einwandfrei.

That sounded like goodbye electrolytic capacitors. So I went and replaced all the electrolytic capacitors, especially two that were responsible for running the display (the two light blue ones). I also renewed the soldering points and lo and behold, it worked perfectly again.

There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
