Repair Roland RE-201 Space Echo Tape Delay

This Roland RE-201 Space Echo Tape needed an overhaul. The felt pads needed replaced and it needed some major cleaning. And thats more or less all I did. I gave the Space Echo a good cleaning that included the pinch roller and bearings…

but also all other locations where the tape is passing. You can see the residue in some spots…

I didn´t like the tape bought via internet. That one was folded so what I don´t do and don´t like. I can hear these...

The tape was also sliced and glued in a very bad way so you could very well hear the splice.
