Roland TR-909 Reparatur Service. In dieser 909 waren die Lautstärke unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Instrumenten zu stark. Die Toms z.B. klangen leicht verzerrt. Der Batteriehalter war wohl durch den Transport gebrochen und wurde gleich mit erneuert.

Manchmal ist die Lösung recht simpel. Vor mir hatte schon jemand seine Finger in der 909 und hat, absichtlich oder auch nicht, die falschen Potis eingebaut. Der Wert einiger Potis war um den Faktor 10 zu hoch. Statt eines 503 (50k) Potis wurde ein 504 (500k) eingebaut.
Sometimes the solution is quite simple. Before me, someone already had their fingers in the 909 and, intentionally or not, installed the wrong potentiometers. The value of some pots was too high by a factor of 10. Instead of a 503 (50k) potentiometer, a 504 (500k) was installed.

Ich habe dann noch das Netzteil re-capped. Hier hat der Kleber, der die Elkos hält, schon starke korrosive Wirkung auf andere Bauteile gehabt.
I then re-capped the power supply. Here the adhesive that holds the electrolytic capacitors has already had a strong corrosive effect on other components.
