Repair Akai S1100 Reparatur Service
Dieser Akai S1100 sampler kam zur Reparatur, weil er nicht mehr an ging. Das lag daran, dass die 5V Versorgung vom Netzteil nicht mehr funktionierte. Also habe ich zuerst mal das Netzteil ausgebaut und näher untersucht. Das übliche Problem: Die Elkos waren mal wieder die Übeltäter. Der ESR war bei einigen Elkos weit außerhalb der Spezifikationen.
This Akai S1100 sampler came in for repair because it no longer worked. That was because the 5V supply from the power supply no longer worked. So first I removed the power supply and examined it more closely. The usual problem: The electrolytic capacitors were once again the culprit. The ESR of some electrolytic capacitors was far outside the specifications.

Zuerst dachte ich, ich könnte das Netzteil mit neuen Elkos bestücken. Das habe ich schon öfter gemacht. Ich finde es schöner, wenn der Originalzustand weitestgehend erhalten bleibt. Schnell aber entdeckte ich Korrosion auf vielen Bauteilen. Vermutlich hervorgerufen durch auslaufenden Elektrolyten. Also habe ich in diesem Fall ein neues Netzteil eingebaut und der Sampler bootete wieder.
At first I thought I could equip the power supply with new electrolytic capacitors. I've done that before. I think it's nicer when the original condition is largely preserved. But I quickly discovered corrosion on many components. Probably caused by leaking electrolytes. So in this case I installed a new power supply and the sampler rebooted.
