Roland RE-201 Space Echo. Came in for an complete overhaul.

Matsushita electrolytic capacitors? No doubt. These had to go.

I always clean all parts leading to the belt

The ball bearings are also cleaned or replaced if necessary.

The tapes used in the Space Echoes were almost always of poor quality. In this case the tape was not spliced very well. There was a noticable gap with cause loss of stacking echos. Also the tape was folded, due to shipping? This can cause wow and flutter effects.

Last but not least I performed a calibration and running some tests. A roland Space Echo makes so much fun.

There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
