Korg Wavestation restoration.
1. New Display
2. New Tactiles
3. Reflow some weak solder joints.

The old display was very weak and had some very bad leaking capacitors. I replace it against a new, modern LCD display with LED backlight.

I cleaned the slider and rotary encoder.

In the first try I found out, that PIN 19 (font size) was not connected and the display showed some issues. It works with PIN 19 pulled to 5V.

Caution

There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
