Many older Waldorf instruments remain essential tools in professional studios around the world. As these instruments continue to age, issues such as failing displays, power supply problems, memory faults and contact-related failures become increasingly common.
Driessen Music is officially supported by Waldorf as a specialized Legacy Service provider, including access to technical information, service documentation, hardware tools and selected spare parts whenever they remain available. Waldorf itself maintains a dedicated Legacy Hardware program for many of its discontinued instruments.
Many repairs are performed at board and component level, particularly when dealing with display failures, memory issues, power supply faults or age-related reliability problems.

Supported Waldorf Instruments
The service focuses primarily on legacy Waldorf synthesizers and rack modules, including many of the instruments that shaped Waldorf's reputation for wavetable synthesis and advanced digital sound design.
Board-Level and Component-Level Repair
Many failures found in older Waldorf synthesizers are caused by thermal stress, aging electronic components, contact degradation or previous repair attempts.
Depending on the instrument and the nature of the fault, repairs may involve extensive cleaning, PCB inspection, display conversions, trace repair or restoration of individual circuit assemblies.
Many of these instruments have accompanied their owners for decades. The objective is therefore not merely to restore functionality, but to preserve the instrument's long-term reliability whenever possible.
Why Legacy Waldorf Instruments Require Specialized Experience
Classic Waldorf synthesizers often contain proprietary hardware, uncommon display technologies and specialized circuit assemblies. Spare parts can be difficult to obtain and technical documentation may be limited compared to modern instruments.
Through direct support from Waldorf, additional technical resources remain available even for complex faults, including access to selected spare parts whenever stock still exists.
