I am specialised in (vintage) synthesizer and drum computer repair and restoration. Due to my ongoing repair orders I´m constantly learning how to fix rare or complex models, even if the diversity of possible faults is not to underestimate. I have the equipment needed to perform complex diagnostics, microscopic soldering procedures and repair techniques. I know that you care very much about your instruments and I endeavour to provide a fully transparent repair process giving personal updates along the way.
I will restore your synthesizer or drum computer to factory specification as best as I can. This will involve, any repair, refurbishing the potentiometer and sliders, cleaning the knobs, replacing the tactile switches, cleaning the keyboard and the key contacts, reflow dry solder joints, component replacement, replacing the memory battery, tuning & calibration, cosmetic touch ups, and housing cleaning.
Do you have a defective LCD or VFX display? The brightness of your LCD display is moderate or dark? Do you always hear a whine near your display? A defective backlight no longer has to be replaced by a new el foil, but by modern LED or OLED technology. I can make the necessary modification to the synthesizer.
Your synthesizer or drum machine needs MIDI input/output? Or sync in/out? Or both? I can implement all on the market available MIDI kits and if necessary I can develop my own solution.
I also offer custom modifications for most vintage synthesizers and drum computer such as external controls, line out, line in, midi, trigger in, trigger out, Filter enhancement, Operating System upgrades, customisation, etc…
Some synthesizers have a battery to store their data in memory. Some of these batteries are soldered directly to the PCB (printed circuit board). There are different kinds of batteries used, depending on the age of the synth. Applying heat with a soldering iron could cause a battery to leak or possibly explode. Let me do this for you.
"Hatte dieses Jahr eine meiner Roland TB 303 Basssequencer auf Empfehlung von Danilo Plessow (MCDE) bei Jürgen Driessen in Reparatur. Einige Funktionen waren verschlissen.
"I am super happy to have Juergen as my go-to Tech for my vintage gear. Always reliable, very fair pricing and on top of that the nicest guy around."Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble)
"Vintage synthesizers and drumcomputers are without any doubt machines with unique souls and inner life. And this is something Jürgen completely understands. It´s good to know the technical repair stuff but it´s more important to feel the machine what he does like no one else."Marc Romboy (Systematic)
„If you start collecting and using vintage synths and gear, you gonna learn one thing pretty fast: Those kids are very sensitive and get sick from time to time. I met a lot of different „doctors“ for them, but Juergen Driessen is definitely the professor amongst those people. Responsible, fast, reliable, fair-pricing plus he’s blessed with this extra-detailed soul, that you need for this ! Thanks, Juergen, for doing what you do !“Marcus Worgull / 2020
