Kurzweil K2000. Hier hat der Kunde selbst erfolglos versucht das Display zu tauschen.

Während das Entlöten scheinbar noch geklappt hat, was das Anlöten des Stecker eher misslungen. Lötstellen sollten nicht aussehen wie geklebt. Außerdem sollten Kurzschlüsse durch das Löten verhindert werden. Die beiden separaten Leitungen waren gequetscht und gebrochen.
While the desoldering apparently still worked, which the soldering of the connector rather failed. Solder joints should not look like they were glued. In addition, short circuits caused by soldering should be prevented. The two separate lines were crushed and broken.
Die Kontrastspannung funktionierte nicht mit dem neuen Display. Sie ließ sich auch nicht mit dem Potentiometer angleichen. Daher habe ich zusätzlich einen Widerstand eingebracht, der die Spannung anglich.
The contrast voltage did not work with the new display. It could not be adjusted with the potentiometer either. So I added a resistor to adjust the voltage.
There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
