Repair Moog Minimoog Vintage Analog Synthesizer Reparatur Service
Minimoog Vintage Analog Synthesizer Restoration. This one came in for an overhaul. All switches and potentiometer were scratchy. Tuning/tracking was off.
This Minimoog had all the old electrolytic capacitors in it. Some of them were out of tolerance. I replaced them all with a high quality brand.
That pcb didn't look happy so I guess it was time to replace caps and remove the glue.
I decided to replace the jacks. Their contacts were heavily oxydized and worn out.
I cleaned the keyboard, keys, contacts, bus bar, connector...
These key bushings were dried out and they were hard like a rock and very briddle. I replaced them all. The "feeling", when you depress a key, is now like in the early days.
Unfortunately some of the rotary switches couldn't be cleaned successfully. I had to replace them with new high quality rotary switches.
This line cord, the plug or at least how it's didn't look safe. I corrected that. Now the Minimoog is safe, it sounds phat, stable and last but not least it's a beauty again.
There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
