The Waldorf Wave represents one of the peaks in synthesizer technology. Its dimension and grace alone brings musicians to their knees in collective devotion. Without a doubt the Wave is the most impressive, the most expressive and at the same time the user-friendliest sound synthesis tool ever built. Already the basic model has a character so powerful and individual, that even fastidious professionals may break into a frenzy of affection....

This Waldorf Wave was booting but had no audio output and MIDI didn't work.

It's a bit crazy that a component that is just a few cents, an electrolytic capacitor, is responsible for the fact that such a complex and valuable synthesizer stops working. But locating this component requires a lot of know-how. This cap had a dead short.

There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
