Repair Akai S612 Sampler & MD280 Quickdisk Drive Reparatur Service

Akai S6120 & MD280. The quick disk drive wasn't working. Some potentiometer were scratchy/noisy. I desoldered and opened all potentiometers and sliders to clean and lubricate them. They now feel smooth and they are no longer noisy.

One more time the belt was just worn out and it was hanging loose inside the disk drive. So no wonder why it didn't work anymore. I still have a few laying around so this one was an easy fix. Above is the old one, below the new.

There are lethal voltage exposed in electronic devices. Unless you know what you are doing, don’t try this. If you following along, you doing so at your own risk.
